ESCANABA---The Escanaba High School softball team stretched its winning streak to six games with a doubleheader sweep over Peshtigo, Wis., Monday at Lemmerand Park.
Sam Connor pitched both games as the Eskymos won, 8-0, and 13-0. Eskymo junior Jayme Frappier was hit in the face with a foul ball during warm-ups and was treated at St. Francis Hospital. Athletic Director Dave Wilson says that Frappier was not seriously hurt.
Escanaba (16-9) travels to Gladstone for a doubleheader on Tuesday. The first pitch is set for 4:00, and the games will be broadcast live on WCHT-AM (600) and rrnsports.com.
