Kingsford, Marquette Easily Win Dome Track Meets
MARQUETTE---The high school track season got under way Tuesday inside Northern Michigan University's Superior Dome, and the news was not good for the Escanaba Eskymos and Gladstone Braves as they finished way off the pace in both meets.In the boys' Division One meet, defending U.P. champion Gladstone scored just 33 points and finished in sixth place. Escanaba had just 6.5 points and finished eighth. In the girls' D-1 meet, Escanaba took fourth with 38 points and Gladstone was eighth with 20. Kingsford won the boys meet with 113.5 points, easily topping second-place Menominee with 72.5.
