HOLIDAY HOOPS: NCA To Honor Whitens, Bilski

POWERS---The North Central Jets basketball program will honor two of its most successful alums, and its state championship teams, later this month in Powers.

The Jets will retire the jerseys of 2017 graduates Jason Whitens and Dawson Bilski as part of a big night of basketball on Monday, Dec. 23.

Whitens has gone on to play at Western Michigan University, while Bilski has starred at Michigan Tech University.

Both led the Jets to three straight Class D state championships in 2014-15, 2015-16, and 2016-17. NCA also won two football state championships in 2015 and 2016.

The December 23rd action will also include the North Central Jets girls basketball team playing Menominee. That will start at 5:00 CT/6:00 ET.

The NCA-Bark River-Harris boys game will start at 7:00 CT/8:00 ET, and will be broadcast live on WUPF-FM (Eagle 107.3) and on-line at www.radioresultsnetwork.com.

There will also be junior varsity games earlier in the day, with the BRH-NCA boys playing at 2:00 CT and the NCA-Menominee girls playing at 3:30 CT.
