SECOND HALF RALLY: Eskymos Edge Petoskey
ESCANABA---The Escanaba High School football team trailed the Petoskey Northmen, 14-0, heading into the second half of Friday night's match-up in Escanaba. But the Eskymos rallied for two touchdowns in the second half to post a 15-14 win.

Senior quarterback Craig Kamin hooked up with fellow senior Jared Nash for a touchdown to put the Eskymos on the board. Then, late in the game, junior Christer Carne broke free for a 57-yard touchdown run with 1:45 left on the clock.

Escanaba Coach Dave Howes decided not to kick the extra point, instead, going for the two-point conversion. Isaac Cooper plunged in, making it 15-14.

Petoskey, however, came right back down the field, driving into the Eskymo red zone as the final seconds ticked off. The Northmen tried for a winning field goal, but a bad exchange on the snap doomed the play, and the Eskymos got the dramatic win.

Escanaba improved to 1-1 on the season.
