Hanson Named New Esky Varsity Baseball Coach

ESCANABA---Scott Hanson has been hired as Escanaba's new varsity baseball coach. He replaces Kirk Schwalbach, who resigned earlier this summer. Hanson is also Escanaba's JV basketball coach and is a longtime teacher at the high school.

He had been an assistant under Schwalbach last spring.

"He is passionate about the game and knows how to develop young men into well-rounded individuals," Athletic Director Nick Nolde said. "He will continue the tradition of excellence that this program, and it's previous coaches, has developed."
