RAPID RIVER---The Upper Peninsula high school girls softball season came to an end on Tuesday with the All-Star games at Rapid River High School. Three dozen girls from across the U.P. played in the doubleheader, split up into North and South teams.

The South team won the opener, 13-2, while the North team won the nightcap, 2-1.

Norway's Bobbi Hulce hit a solo home run to get the doubleheader off with a bang.

The girls also took part in skills competitions: pitching, throwing, baserunning...an a home run derby. The coaches for the game also came from all over the U.P.:
