BR-H Broncos Honor Devin DeGrave; Sweep Eagles

HARRIS---The Bark River-Harris High School paused Saturday to remember former Bronco Devin DeGrave, who died in a tragic traffic crash in 2011 on the way to baseball practice. A special display honoring DeGrave's football and basketball accomplishments was placed in the gym as the Broncos faced the Engadine Eagles in a hoops doubleheader.

BR-H won both the boys and girls games...both the junior varsity and varsity.

GIRLS JUNIOR VARSITY: The Bark River-Harris Broncos topped the Engadine Eagles, 69-23. Hailee Demers, Cheridan Peterson, and Tatiana LaFave all scored 12 points for the JV Broncos. Michaela Deace scored ten points for the JV Eagles.

BOYS JUNIOR VARSITY: The BR-H Broncos cruised to a 46-31 win. Brett Sundquist scored seven points to lead a balanced scoring attack for the Bronco JV boys.

GIRLS VARSITY: The Broncos stayed undefeated on the season with a 73-22 win over Engadine. Katie Schultz led BR-H with 21 points. Engadine's Allison Mergherio scored nine points in a losing effort.

BOYS VARSITY: Bark River-Harris completed the Saturday sweep with a 57-39 win over Engadine in the boys varsity contest. Nick Lippens and Ryan Arndt each scored eleven points to lead the Broncos. Scout Bigger led the Eagles with 11 points.
