Escanaba Tennis Team Falls To Menominee, 7-1
 ESCANABA---Steve Wood picked up a nice win at #2 singles for the Escanaba Eskymos tennis team on Wednesday against the Menominee Maroons. But it was the only win that the Eskymos would get, and Menominee left town with a 7-1 team victory. "We played better today than yesterday (8-0 loss to Kingsford), against an equally good team or better," Escanaba Coach Jim Hansen said. "Steve Wood played great. Ben Larsen and Alec Slaga played really well for us again. Prica battled all day." Wood got Escanaba's only win Wednesday, beating Menominee's Nate Antilla, 6-2, 6-0. For the rest of the Eskymos, well, it was a frustrating afternoon. "We were a couple games away from wining a couple more matches," Hansen said. "We have to keep improving. We'll get different guys in throughout the next couple meets to get some younger guys experience and create some competition." The results:
