NMU Wildcat Football Hires Offensive Coordinator
This story was written by NMU Sports Information MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan University Football program is proud to announce the hiring of Dylan Chmura as the new Offensive Coordinator for the 2022-23 season. The Waukesha, Wisconsin, native joined Michigan State University in 2013 as one of the nation's top tight end recruits. Suiting up in the green and white from the 2013 to 2016 seasons, where he captured two Big 10 championships and was a winner of the 2014 Rose Bowl and 2015 Cotton Bowl. After the 2016 season, Chmura joined the coaching staff as a student coach, assisting with the Spartan's offensive line and tight ends. Dylan Chmura made stops at Fresno State University from 2017 to 2018, he assisted with coaching the offensive lineman to earn all-conference honors. In 2018, Fresno State ranked in the top five nationally in the fewest sacks allowed while also capturing the 2018 Mountain West Championship. Chmura made the switch to the University of Iowa from 2019 to 2020, working with one of the best offensive lines in the Big 10. Chmura came to the NMU Wildcats before the 2021 season, working with the offensive line and tight ends, playing a key part in Northern's offensive success. This will be his second year on the staff.
