OVERTIME SETBACK: Wildcats Lose At Parkside
KENOSHA, Wis.---The Northern Michigan University Men's Basketball team visited the University of Wisconsin Parkside for Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action Thursday night but fell to the Rangers 71-65 in overtime.
Senior Isaiah Johnson led the team with 21 points and grabbed five rebounds while posting four steals. Senior Naba Echols posted 18 points. Redshirt freshman Troy Summers put up career-highs in the effort, scoring 12 points and grabbing nine rebounds.
Junior Myles Howard notched eight rebounds and finished with two blocks.
The Wildcats fall to 11-8 on the season and are now 6-6 in the GLIAC while Parkside moves to 10-8, 8-4 in the conference. NMU will look to rebound Saturday as they visit Purdue University Northwest. Earlier in the season, the Wildcat defeated PNW 108-69 for their most points against a Division II opponent since the 1993-94 season.
