RUNNING WILD: Braves Extend Win Streak, 91-50
GLADSTONE---The Gladstone High School boys basketball team scored 65 points in the first half and cruised to a 91-50 win over the Menominee Maroons Friday night. It was Gladstone's seventh straight win. Reece Castor and Carson Shea both scored 20 points in the first half as the Braves blew out to a 65-37 lead at halftime in a game that saw constant up-and-down action. Gladstone had 86 points after three quarters, but scored just five points in the final quarter as the game by that time was being played on the mercy rule's running clock. Castor ended up with a game-high 27 points while Shea finished with 22. St. John scored eleven points and Rane Castor added ten for the Braves. Menominee freshman Aian Bellisle scored 21 points in a losing effort. Click the thumbnails in the ARTICLE HIGHLIGHTS box above to see photos and videos from the game. |
