Rapid River Rolls Past Undermanned Carney, 60-14
RAPID RIVER---The Rapid River Rockets raced to a 30-0 lead and cruised past the Carney-Nadeau Wolves, 60-14, in high school football action Friday night. The Wolves had just twelve players for the game. Tyler Sundling and Gunner Larson had touchdown runs to get the Rockets off and running in the first quarter. Quarterback Brent Lundquist hooked up with Nate Olsen for a touchdown pass in the second quarter, expanding the lead to 30. Lundquist also threw a 77-yard touchdown pass to Noah Gustafson. Brett LaFord's touchdown in the second quarter put the Wolves on the board.
