Demeuse Signs Letter To Play Football For Lakeland
GLADSTONE---Gladstone High School senior Jared Demeuse signed a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday to study and play football at Lakeland University. Demeuse is the first member of the Mid Peninsula Conference champion Braves to sign to play football at a college or university. He was selected to the MPC All-Conference First Team as an inside linebacker. Demeuse was also an Honorable Mention All-U.P. pick. "Honestly, I did not think that I was gonna get an offer from anybody, really. I'll try three different positions, linebacker, and H-Back on offense. It will be pretty exciting to see what happens next fall." Demeuse plans to study criminal justice at Lakeland. Demeuse still has unfinished business in high school. He will wrestle in the MHSAA Wrestling Finals at Ford Field in Detroit in March. "My first time in Detroit, my first time in Ford Field," Demeuse said. "Can't get any happier than that." He will also play in this June's U.P. All-Star Game at Superior Dome. |
