Norse Open Busy Stretch With Easy Victory, 87-38
ESCANABA---They haven't played many games in the past month or so, but the Bay College women's basketball team will see plenty of action over the next seven days. The Norse opened a stretch of three straight "added" games on Wednesday with an 87-38 win over the University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac Falcons at the YMCA Gym. Jordan Kraemer scored 31 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, and she did it in just 27 minutes of play. Jordan Belleville knocked down four triples and finished with 18. Justice Kinnunen contributed nine points. The Norse led, 25-11, after the first quarter, and raced to a 46-22 halftime lead. They outrebounded the Falcons, 47-26, and committed only seven turnovers. Cassidy Williams led UW-Fond du Lac (7-4) with twelve points and six boards. Bay College improved to 9-8 on the season, snapping a three-game losing streak. The Norse have two games this weekend in Wisconsin. The first is on Saturday against UW-Marathon in Wausau. Game time is 4:00 ET/3:00 CT. Then on Sunday, Bay will take on UW-Manitowoc. That game starts at Noon ET/11 a.m. CT. Both games will be broadcast live on WMXG-FM (Maverick 106.3).
