Broncos Escape With Victory Over North Dickinson
HARRIS---The Bark River-Harris High School girls basketball team trailed entering the fourth quarter Friday night, but made big plays down the stretch to beat the North Dickinson Nordics, 63-58, Harris. The Broncos led for most of the contest, but never could put the Nordics away. And thenlate in the third quarter, North Dickinson made a run to take a 48-46 lead. BR-H forced a turnovers on successive plays midway through the fourth quarter to regain the advantage, with Hailee Demers and Cameron Peterson both scoring baskets. Jaelin Lockwood also had two big hoops down the stretch for the Broncos. Sierra Debelak also made two free throws on a key intentional foul call late. Even though North Dickinson's Toriana Christian sank a triple, Juliann Wickman haa steal and lay-up, and Hannah Clark hit a long jumper, the Broncos were able to do just enough to pick up their second win of the season (2-1).
