Tired Eskymo Girls Fall To Bartle, Negaunee, 62-41
ESCANABA---The Escanaba High School girls basketball team played for the third time in four days Tuesday, and fell to the Negaunee Miners, 62-41, in Escanaba. The Eskymos trailed by just six points in the third quarter, but ran out of gas as Natalie Bartle scored 27 points for Negaunee, including four three-point baskets. Escanaba led early in the game, 15-7, before the Miners grabbed the halftime lead. Bartle is a transfer student who has committed to play at Colorado Mesa University. Lexi Chaillier had 11 points and Savannah Barron added ten for the Eskymos, who won road games at Sault Ste. Marie on Saturday and at Marinette, Wis., on Monday.
