Gladstone Braves Celebrate Successful 2017 Season
GLADSTONE---The Gladstone High School baseball team held its season-ending banquet Monday night. The Braves finished 29-8 this season and were regional runners-up. First baseman Tyson Seymour, who was a Division Three All-State selection, was named the team's Most Valuable Player during Monday night's gathering. Junior Braeden Lamberg, who was named to the D-3 All-Region team, was named the team's Most Valuable catcher. Junior left fielder Owen Hanson and infielder Lucas Weinert were named co-MVP's for defense, and sophomore Jared Crow was the Most Valuable Pitcher Sophomore Cooper Cavadeas got the Most Improved Player award, and aenior A.J. Lundberg got the "Little I" award for character and team play. The team said goodbye to eight seniors: HunterBotruff, Brandon Cooper, AJ Lundberg, Noah Olsen, Ben Schwalbach, Tyson Seymour, Jack Stephenson, and Nick Trudeau. Most of them are all playing for the Gladstone Indians American Legion baseball team this summer, which is off to a 7-0 start. |
