72 AND COUNTING: Jets Crush Munising Mustangs
MUNISING---Another night, another good opponent goes down. Hard. The North Central High School boys basketball team traveled to Munising Tuesday night to face a pumped up Mustangs team that was sporting a 15-2 season record. But just as they have done in every contest this season, the NCA Jets made a good team look bad. It was a "black-out" night in Munising, but the Jets rolled to an 83-33 victory. With the win, the Jets team won its state record 72nd straight game, and improved to 17-0 for this season. The Jets rolled to a 31-8 lead in the first quarter to drop Munising's season record to 15-3. Seniors Jason Whitens and Dawson Bilski both scored 27 points for NCA. The Jets will make the short trip to Harris Friday night to face the 12-4 Bark River-Harris Broncos, and then will host Forest Park next Tuesday. Both of those games will be broadcast live on WUPF-FM (Eagle 107.3) and at www.radioresultsnetwork.com. |
