Radio Results Network To Carry Hockeyville Game
MARQUETTE---The Radio Results Network announced Tuesday that it has been granted rights to broadcast the Hockeyville USA game between the Buffalo Sabres and the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday October 4th from Marquette’s Lakeview Arena. “We are thrilled to be part of the historic event!” Says, RRN General Manager Jesse Huff. “There are a thousands of hockey fans in the Upper Michigan that will be able to hear the game on two of our 100,000 watt FM stations – Magic 97 WGLQ and 100.3 the Point, WUPT!” The connections to hockey are easy to see as Magic 97 is the home Detroit Red Wings and the 100.3 The Point is the flagship station for NMU Wildcat athletics. The Radio Results Network has a deal with the National Hockey League and the Buffalo Sabres to become a “one-game affiliate”, so it can air the game on both FM stations for complete coverage across Upper Michigan. The puck drops at 7:00pm eastern but the RRN Stations will provide listeners with an extended coverage starting at 5:00 pm. |
