Negaunee Slips Past Escanaba For Div. 1 U.P. Title
NEGAUNEE---The Negaunee High School girls tennis team won the final doubles match of the day and edged the Escanaba Eskymos, 18-17, to win the Upper Peninsula Division One championship on Thursday. Negaunee and Escanaba met in the championship round of nearly all of the eight singles and doubles flights. The Eskymos had three U.P. champions and three U.P. runners-up.
