NMU Golf Team Finishes 16th At NCAA Regionals
NOBLESVILLE, Ind. -- The Northern Michigan University men's golf team wrapped up action at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional IV at Purgatory Golf Course Monday. The Wildcats finished in 16th place out of 31 teams with a combined two day score of 603 strokes including shooting a team 307 on the second day. NMU sophomores Emil Lundgren and Dustin Dishaw both wrapped up the second round of action with a combined score of 150 and tied in 42nd place. Lundgren shot a 79 on the second day while Dishaw shot a 77. Freshman Austin Elsner shot a second day team low score of 73 strokes finishing with a combined score of 151 in a tie for 51st place. Sophomore Hunter Mires carded a 78 on the second day to finish with a 154 and tied in 85th place while senior Ayrton Mantha shot a 79 to finish with a score of 155 to tie for 92nd place. The Wildcats return to action April 18-19 at the GLIAC Spring Invitational. |
