CANTON, Ohio
---Michigan Tech earned a Canton sweep with an 82-65 victory at Walsh on Saturday. The Huskies carved up the Cavaliers zone defense with 11 3-pointers including five from Kelli Guy and four more from Morgan Anderson.

Tech slowly built up a 12-point halftime lead as Guy started knocking down shots. The margin was nine late in the half until Kerry Gardner buried a 30-foot triple at the buzzer for a 37-25 advantage. Walsh (5-2, 0-2 GLIAC) pulled back within five (41-36) just five minutes into the second half.

Anderson then heated up from the 3-point line, hitting four 3-pointers over the next seven minutes to push the margin to 17. The hosts were never closer than 12 the rest of the way.

"I was happy with our defense, especially in the first half holding them to 25," said Tech coach Kim Cameron. "They're transition game is good and they can score a lot of points quickly.

"Morgan getting hot in the second half was huge because they started keying in on Kelli. I thought we missed some chances to score inside against the zone, but overall I'm happy to get out of Ohio with two wins."

Guy finished with 20 points and Anderson added 14 more. Danielle Blake also reached double figures with 13.Brenna Heise notched eight points and a game-high seven rebounds.

Michigan Tech knocked down 48 percent of its field goals and held Walsh to 36 percent. The Cavaliers' 65 points were 18 below their season average of 83.

Tech returns to the SDC Gym next week with its undefeated record intact.

The 5-0 Huskies (2-0 GLIAC) will host Findlay Thursday (Dec. 11) and Wayne State Saturday (Dec. 13).
