Marquette Volleyball Wears Pink, Sweeps Gladstone
GLADSTONE---The Marquette High School girls volleyball team wore pink uniforms Tuesday night in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month as the Redettes faced the Gladstone Braves in Gladstone. The result was the same as when the Marquette girls wore red and white earlier this season: a 3-0 Great Northern Conference win. Marquette started the second set with increased momentum, jumping to a 6-1 lead and winning, 25-17. The final set was not close, 25-12. Katie Belonga and Emily Dykowski lead the Braves with five kills apiece, while Lexi Hongisto and Jenna Steinhoff each had four kills. Hongisto added nine defensive digs, while Belonga had six digs and Kelsey Fournier had four digs.
